These Terms govern access to NciteMe, including profile pages, smart links, QR codes, personas, editor tools, analytics, and related services (the “Service”). The Service is operated by NciteIO, LLC (“NciteMe,” “we,” or “us”). Signed-in account holders can reach us through Support. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, and our Content & Community Standards. Our Privacy Policy explains data practices.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement to create or control an account. You are responsible for accurate registration information, account credentials, activity under your account, and keeping access secure. Tell us through Support if you suspect unauthorized access. You may use an organization account only if you are authorized to bind that organization. We do not collect a date of birth at signup, so this age rule is a condition of the account you create.
Your pages and content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical display, distribute, and display that content solely to operate, secure, and promote the Service and your public pages, subject to your settings and applicable law. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for your content, links, names, images, and visitor data. You are responsible for your destination sites and for notices and permissions required when collecting visitor information through your profile. You may not imply that NciteMe endorses you.
Prohibited conduct and moderation
Follow the Acceptable Use Policy and Content & Community Standards. We review reports that come in through Report Abuse and may restrict features, disable links or pages, remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and preserve or disclose information where reasonably necessary to enforce policies, protect people or the Service, comply with law, or respond to valid legal process. We may act immediately in urgent cases. We do not promise to monitor every page or link. You can ask us to review an action by submitting another report that explains what was restricted. We may not share investigative details when that would compromise safety or an investigation.
Third-party services and links
Profiles may link to third-party websites and use integrations you connect. Their terms and privacy practices apply when you use them. NciteMe does not control or endorse them. Profile owners are responsible for their offers, sales, fulfillment, claims, and communications with visitors. Unless a checkout on NciteMe expressly says otherwise, NciteMe is not the seller of goods or services shown on a profile.
Subscriptions and payments
If you purchase a paid plan, checkout shows the price, billing frequency, and renewal terms before you pay. Payment card data is handled by Stripe. Paid subscriptions renew until you cancel. You can open the billing portal from Billing to cancel. Fees, taxes, refunds, and the date a cancellation takes effect follow the terms shown at checkout and applicable law.
Intellectual property
NciteMe’s software, design, and trademarks belong to us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer those rights. For copyright claims, see the Copyright Policy.
Service changes, disclaimers, and liability
We may change or discontinue features. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, particular results, audience reach, income, or the accuracy of third-party content. To the extent permitted by law, NciteIO, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, arising from the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims arising in a 12-month period will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service during that period. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
You agree to defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your material breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our own misconduct, subject to applicable law.
Ending use and changes to these Terms
You may stop using the Service at any time. To ask us to delete an account, contact Support while signed in. We may suspend or end access for violations or for legal, security, or operational reasons. Data handling after closure follows the Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page and, when required, sent to the email on your account before they take effect. If you disagree, stop using the Service.
Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to you and to NciteIO, LLC, including mandatory consumer protections. This page does not require arbitration or waive class actions. Contact NciteIO, LLC through Support after you have an account, or through Report Abuse for policy violations.
