Trust & Safety Center

NciteMe provides profiles and links that people share publicly. Read the Acceptable Use Policy and the Content & Community Standards.

How safety works

We use reports submitted at Report Abuse, and reports sent from a public profile, to find possible violations. Those reports go to a staff review queue. A report is not proof. We do not claim automated scanning of every page. Depending on the issue, we may ask for an edit, remove content, block a link, restrict a page, suspend an account, or refer urgent unlawful material to appropriate authorities. We consider context, severity, repetition, and legal duties. We do not guarantee that every harmful item will be found immediately.

Explicit adult media cannot appear on NciteMe pages, and adult destination links are not allowed while sensitive labels and exit warnings are unavailable. For copyright, use the Copyright Policy. For privacy questions, use the Privacy Policy.

Account security and review requests

Use a unique password and tell us through Support if you suspect someone else is using your account. If your content was restricted, you can ask for another look by submitting Report Abuse with the page URL and what happened. Safety or legal reasons may limit the details we can share.

Legal requests

We do not publish a separate law-enforcement inbox. Officials can submit a request through Report Abuse. Include the agency, a way to verify the requester, the legal authority, the account or URL, and the time period sought. Emergency requests should explain the imminent risk. This is the same review queue as other reports, not a dedicated legal portal. We evaluate requests under applicable law and may notify affected users when we are permitted to do so.
